Rincones, Jr. Earns C-USA Hitter of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University sophomore outfielder Gabriel Rincones, Jr. has been named Conference USA Hitter of the Week, as announced by C-USA on Monday.
Rincones, Jr. hit .467 (7-for-15) for the week with four home runs and nine RBI. Two of those home runs came on Saturday, his third multi-HR game of the season. He finished the week with a 3-for-4 effort in Sunday's series finale win over UAB, including another home run, a double, and five driven in.
The native of Glenrothes, Scotland is up to a league-leading 50 RBI for the season to go along with 12 long balls. Rincones, Jr. is hitting .368 through 33 games. He joins Jalen DeBose (Feb. 21) as the other previous Owl to be named C-USA Hitter of the Week this season.
