OPELIKA, ALA. – The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team wrapped up competition in the Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn on Monday. As a team, the Owls tied for 11^th place with a score of 880, which is 16 over par.

A strong finish in round three on Monday landed Alex Maguire 28^th on the individual leader board. Maguire finished the tourney at three over par (219) and sat in 52^nd after round two but shot two under (70) to vault up the leader board. His efficient final round was highlighted by birdies in holes 8, 14 and 16. This is the second-consecutive tourney that Maguire has led FAU in.

Jake Hibbert tied for 46^th on the leader board, finishing the tourney at six-over (222). Hibbert posted six birdies on the tourney, including three in round three.

Guilherme Grinberg finished at seven over (223) and moved up 14 spots on the leader board with a 71 in round three. Grinberg made some ground up by posting four birdies in round three.

The Owls will return to the course on March 14 and 15 for the Southern Invite, right up the road from Boca Raton in Lake Worth, Fla.
