3/20/2022 7:31:00 PM | Women's Tennis
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team's perfect record at home fell on Sunday afternoon, following a 4-3 loss to Yale. The Owls fall to 10-8 overall while Yale moves to 7-6.
Yale captured the doubles' point and the two teams then moved to singles courts. It wasn't long before Katerina Filip captured her match to move the score to 1-1. FAU Freshman Carina Sommer captured court six to give FAU its first lead of the match. That lead was short lived with a loss on court one and three. Millie-Mae Matthews evened the match once more at 3-3 with all eyes then turning to court four, for the clinch. Ultimately, FAU was forced to withdraw from the decider due to injury giving Yale the final possible points.

Quotable
"It was a tough loss for the girls. They played their hearts out and fought hard to get the win but came out a bit short at the end. The match was well played by Yale on the important points. Now it's time to reset, focus, and make sure we are ready for the upcoming matches. The Results
