BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (5-22, 1-15 in Conference USA) will host its final home game of the 2021-22 season, taking on in-state rival FIU (12-15, 4-12 in C-USA). Wednesday's game will serve as Senior Night with the Owls honoring
Bre Beck and
Rita Pleskevich prior to the game. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at Abessinio Court at FAU Arena.

- FAU has had the edge in the past few outings, winning five of the last seven against the Panthers with the two losses coming from a margin of -7 or less
- FAU is 9-15 at home, 5-19 away and 1-1 on a neutral site vs. the Panthers
- Playing one another in back-to-back days due to the COVID-19 scheduling last season, the two teams split the series in two close games. FAU had the edge in the first game in Boca Raton with a 73-69 win. Gaston tallied 11 points and five rebounds, while Rozentale had nine points and nine boards off the bench
- In the game at FIU, the Owls could not close out the contest, falling 65-62. Rozentale registered 17 points and 10 boards, while Pleskevich had 10 points
