BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team is set to tee off the spring 2022 slate by hosting the Paradise Invitational. The invite is slated to begin tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 7, and feed into Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Osprey Point Golf Course. FAU will welcome 14 different squads with five of those being ranked in the top 60 in the country, including No. 5 Florida. Monday and Tuesday's shotgun start is at 8 a.m. with 36 holes on day one and 18 holes the next.

"We are excited to get the spring started by hosting at Osprey Point," said head women's golf coach
Heather Bowie Young. "We have a great field and the course is in great shape. We are looking forward to competing the next two days. Go Owls!"

- The Owls finished No. 6 at the Pat Bradley Invitational with a total score of 885, just one stroke behind the top five teams
- Barnak rounded out in second place in the tournament field and the only golfer in the field of 78 to finish under par in every round with three straight 71's. She was named Conference USA Golfer of the Week, meaning the Owls clinched a weekly award following each of their fall tournaments
- Decker followed in second with 16th and Bagnoli took third with 23rd place

- Bagnoli is coming into the spring season ranked No. 39 in the country
- Going into the final tournament of the fall season, Bagnoli was ranked No. 1 in the region and fifth nationally

FAU will next take on the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at the Great Waters Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee. Mercer will be hosting the tournament from Friday, Feb. 18 to Sunday, Feb. 20.
