LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming & diving team currently sits in second place after day two of action at the CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships. The Owls conclude day two in second place with 451 points, while Incarnate Word remains in first at 517.
 
Leading the way for FAU today was 
Rateb Hussein. In the 100 fly, Hussein edged out the competition for the individual conference championship. Hussein's time of 47.07 also was good for an NCAA 'B' Cut, and that time is just off his 100-fly school record (46.75).
 
FAU had a slew of podium finishers today, including:
	- Michael Cannatelli, 3-meter dive (318.85, 2nd)
 
	- Brandon Shepherd, 3-meter dive (314.30, 3rd)
 
	- Nick Shaffer, 400 IM (3:54.39, 2nd)
 
	- Timo Paisley, 200 free (1:38.86, 2nd)
 
	- Alec Peckmann, 200 free (1:39.23, 3rd)
 
	- 200 free relay (Peter Tanner, Jr., Logan Thornsberry, Peckmann, Hussein, 1:20.45, 2nd)
 
	- 400 medley relay (Kyle Douglas, Jackson Kirk, Hussein, Peckmann, 3:16.29, 3rd)
 
 
Day three of four begins tomorrow, with the prelims beginning at 10 a.m.
