Sullivan announces pair of signees to 2023 class

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women's basketball head coach Jennifer Sullivan has announced the signings of Kayana Armbrister and Kristina Godfrey to National Letters of Intent as the first signees to the Owls' 2023 signing class on Wednesday.
"Our staff works hard to find young people who understand and embrace the direction we are headed, which means they want to make an impact on and off the court," expressed head coach Jennifer Sullivan. "In this class, we feel we addressed our needs with not only talented players, but with quality people that will blend right into our FAU family."
Kayana Armbrister
G/F | 6-0 | Boston, Mass. | Dexter Southfield
Armbrister, from Boston, Massachusetts comes to the Owls from Dexter Southfield. This past season, Armbrister averaged 23 points per game, in addition to collecting 12 rebounds per game, and nine blocks per game. As a sophomore, Armbrister collected 22 points per game, 14 rebounds per contest, and eight blocks per game. The four-time MVP helped lead Dexter Southfield to three city championships.
She plans to major in business and management while at FAU.

Kristina Godfrey
G | 5-10 | Miami, Fla. | Miami Country Day School
Godfrey, a native of Miami, joins the Owls as a six-year letterwinner from Miami Country Day School. As a junior, Godfrey averaged 15 points per game, six assists per game, four steals per game, and four rebounds per game last season. Godfrey helped lead the Spartans to five district championships, four regional championships, and three 3A/4A state championships. She received the Harrison Greenberg Award, and was named Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, and earned Miami-Dade All County First and Second Team honors. Academically, Godfrey was named to the Head of School's List, Dean's List, and received the Ken Harris Scholarship. In addition to her high school career, Godfrey also competed at the club level with the Miami Suns.
She plans to major in communications while at FAU.

An athletic, high-IQ facilitating point guard who can score and make those around her better. She knows exactly what it takes to win and is not afraid to work hard for it."
