Raisanen Earns Nod to AAC All-Rookie Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The American Athletic Conference (AAC) announced its postseason awards for men's soccer on Wednesday. Florida Atlantic freshman forward Andreas Raisanen was named to the conference's All-Rookie Team.

Raisanen tallied three goals in 14 matches in his first season as an Owl. The native of Stockholm, Sweden had a penchant for delivering in the clutch as all three were scored in the 80th minute or later. The freshman notched the game-winner in the 80th minute against UAB, the tying goal versus then-No. 13 Charlotte in the 85th, and another GWG in the 81st against No. 12 SMU.

FAU men's soccer competed as an affiliate member of the AAC in 2022 finishing with a conference record 3-4-2.
