Austin and Jarman named C-USA Beach Volleyball October Pair of the Month

DALLAS – Ellie Austin and Christine Jarman were named C-USA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Month for the month of October, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Ellie and Christine competed as a pair during the P1440 Franklin Sports Collegiate Challenge on Oct. 29-30 in Tavares, Florida. The duo led the Owls on the weekend and earned a third place finish out of a 53-pair field.

The duo fell in a tightly contested three-setter against Florida State's No. 1 pair in the Gold Bracket semifinals after earning wins against the University of Tampa's No. 9 pair, 2-0, FGCU's No. 4 pair, 2-0, Florida State's No. 3 pair, 2-1, Florida State's No. 7 pair, 2-0, and Florida State's No. 2 pair, 1-2.

The Owls' closed out the fall season on Nov. 4-6 after competing in the Inaugural AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championships.
