– The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (5-1-1, 1-0-1 in Conference USA) will close out its two-game homestand on Tuesday night, Jacksonville (2-5, 1-1-0 in Atlantic Sun Conference). The match is set for 6 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium.

- The Owls are coming off a big 3-0 conference shutout over Old Dominion last Saturday to start out the year 5-1-1 with a 1-0-1 C-USA mark
- Filip Jauk leads the team with four goals for eight points. He was tabbed C-USA Offensive Player of the Week after a two-goal performance in the Owls' 3-2 comeback victory over Florida Gulf Coast
- Luis Sailer Fidalgo leads the Owls with four assists
- Neil Strauber has started in all seven matches in goal to accumulate 658 minutes. He has started 19 straight matches in goal, while logging a 1.23 goals against average, 32 saves and two shutouts
- FAU is second in the C-USA standings with four points
- The Owls average 2.29 goals per game, while holding opponents to 1.29 per contest. FAU also outshoots opponents, 84-72
- FAU was projected to finish sixth out of nine teams in the C-USA Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches
- Alonso Coello Camarero and Ivan Mykhailenko were tabbed to the 14-person C-USA Preseason Team
- The team has nine newcomers with 15 different countries being represented on the roster

- JU has begun the season 2-5, coming off a league win over North Florida, 1-0, last Saturday
- As the defending ASUN Champion, JU was chosen to repeat the league in the ASUN Preseason Poll with four first-place votes. The Dolphins qualified for the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament in the spring, falling short in penalty kicks (5-4) against American in the 3-3 match
- Nil Ringstrand (defender), Oliver Correa (forward) and Reed Davis (forward) were tabbed to the 13-person All-ASUN Preseason Team. Correa was a unanimous selection
- Davis leads the team with three goals for six points
- Jose Manzo and Colin Reasonover have a team's most two assists
- In the first seven matches, JU has been outscored 17-8 and outshot 104-58
- Time in goal has been split among three keeps. Jabari Gray has started in three of four matches he has appeared in to tally a 2.86 goals against average and 13 saves

- FAU has won the last two matches over JU
- In last year's match, the Owls won in shutout fashion, 4-0. The team scored all four goals in the second half, which included an own goal and goals by Arturo Ernand, Célestin Theodore, Jr. and Coello Camarero
- FAU also defeated JU in 2019, as Mykhailenko scored in the game and Blake Dean came up with the game-winner at the 76th minute for his first career goal

- The Owls hosted their home C-USA opener to defeat ODU, 3-0
- All three goals were scored off double assists in a match where the Owls outshot the Monarchs, 13-4
- Jose Alastuey scored the first goal at the fifth minute off assists from Dean and Sailer Fidalgo to help the Owls go into halftime with a 1-0 lead
- Jauk scored his fourth goal of the season off assists by Sailer Fidalgo and Alastuey at the 62nd minute
- Davide Romeo put the icing on the cake at the 72nd minute with a goal from a setup by Daniel Skistad and Zach Hassell
- Strauber earned the cleansheet with two saves on the night
