Quotable
Head Coach Mark Leon:
"After almost a month of qualifying it was nice to finally get out and compete in our first event.
Â
We learned a great deal about our team this week and we'll take many lessons learned through the rest of the fall season. We need to get way better with our speed putting, decision-making and short game to compete with the best teams in the country. We have so much talent, but we need to clean things up to be where we want to be.
Â
"That being said, I was very proud of the way the boys competed and battled. They had a terrible first round, but improved a great deal over the final 36 holes. Max (Sturdza) battled food poisoning on course and for him to even finish his second round was incredible.
Â
"We're excited to get back to Boca and prepare for SMU next week."
