BOCA RATON, Fla. – The midpoint of the fall season is next for Florida Atlantic University men's golf, with Monday serving as the first of three days in Montgomery, Texas, at the Sam Houston State-hosted Bentwater Intercollegiate.
Â
The Owls last competed Sept. 24-25 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, finishing just a stroke outside the top 10 as a team in a highly competitive field. Individually, Alex Maguire was a shot ahead of teammates Jake Hibbert and Max Sturdza, with the former 24th and the latter duo 28th in a field of 100 golfers.
The trio will join Juan Delgado and Nils Dobrunz in the Owls' fivesome for the second straight tourney, on the Miller Course at the Bentwater Yacht and Country Club. Each day will feature 18 holes, and the event will play Par 72 and 6,809 yards. Tee times each day will be at 9 a.m. Eastern, and the Owls are one of only four non-Texas schools competing among the 12 teams:
