BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming & diving team is back in action, hosting its first home meet since January 2020 on Friday. The meet is set for 3 p.m. at FAU Aquatic Center.

Men
The men's team earned its second Coastal Collegiate Sports Association runner-up title in the past three years last season. With 22 medals, the team finished with 984 points, just 75 points behind champion Gardner-Webb.
Kyle Douglas won the 200 back and tallied the bronze in the 100 back. In his first race as an Owl,
Alec Peckmann won the 200 IM by breaking the school record (1:48.10). He also logged a silver medal in the 100 free and a bronze in the 400 IM.
Women
The women's team finished fourth at the 2021 Conference USA Swimming & Diving Championships. In her first conference championship,
Nika Culina earned bronze medals in the 100 breast (1:01.91) and 200 breast (2:14.57), while breaking the FAU freshman record in each.
Alicia Mora medaled in all three of her events (1-meter, 3-meter and platform) and broke the school record on the 3-meter (336.25).
The Owls host Florida Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. at FAU Aquatic Center.
