BOCA RATON, Fla. – Coming off their first fall event, the Florida Atlantic University women's golf team readies for another, in Alabama beginning on Monday morning.
Last week, the Owls finished sixth as a squad, with the top individual, at the William & Mary Invitational. For her victory,
Letizia Bagnoli was named Conference USA Women's Golfer of the Week.
Blanka Decker was 17th, with
Olivia Bergner just a stroke behind her and a stroke out of the top 20.
The two-day UAB-hosted Hoover Invitational was originally supposed to take place at the Hoover Country Club, but due to heavy downpours and flooding, it has been moved to the par-72, 5,839-yard Heatherwood Country Club in Birmingham. Like last week, it'll be 36 holes the first day, and wrap up with 18 on the second day, Tuesday.
In addition to individuals from Alabama and Tulane, 11 five-player teams are taking part in this tournament:
| Belmont |
Southern Illinois |
| Florida Atlantic |
Southern Miss |
| Jacksonville |
Troy |
| Jacksonville State |
UAB |
| Samford |
ULM |
| South Alabama |
