FAU to Celebrate College Colors Day Friday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University will commence the start of the 2021-22 season of intercollegiate athletics and the school year this Friday. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Diversity Housing Lawn.
FAU students, faculty and staff and encouraged to show up in FAU red and blue to enjoy free food, live music, experiential marketing activations and giveaways, as well as special appearances from the FAU spirit teams and Marching Owls.
Fans can share photos of themselves with FAU apparel on social media with the hashtag #FAU for an opportunity to win FAU prizes. If you need more FAU gear, head to FAU athletics' online retail website, www.shopfausports.com.
College Colors Day serves as the start to FAU Spirit Fridays. FAU Spirit Fridays serves as a campus-wide effort where faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear business casual wear that includes FAU-branded attire. The initiative is set to highlight Owl spirit to FAU faculty, staff, students and fans. Special events to support the FAU Spirit Fridays can be viewed HERE.
The College Color Day was created by collegiate licensing leader CLC. College Colors Day is a national holiday that provides a dedicated day for more than 185 million college fans across the country for a dedicated day to showcase unmatched passion and spirit, while sharing their pride on social media using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.
FAU football is beginning the 2021 season on Saturday, Sept. 4 at Florida. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida on the SEC Network. Fans also have the opportunity to listen to the game on Fox Sports 640 South Florida, online HERE and on the TuneIn app.
