BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University's
Justine Fournand earned Conference USA's Golfer of the Week award, the league office announced Friday.
This is Fournand's second such
honor this season, as she's now won back-to-back tournaments in the
Low Country Intercollegiate (March 13-14) and
Brickyard Collegiate (April 5-6).
Fournand, the reigning Conference USA Freshman of the Year, tied Cecille Lundgreen for the third most individual wins in program history after earning medalist honors in the Brickyard Collegiate. She is only one win away from tying the second-ranked Natalia Navarro's four.
An instant and consistent contributor, Fournand has been FAU's top finisher in every tournament but her first. She leads the 2021 team with a 71.86 stroke average while being ranked No. 82 by Golfweek and No. 95 by Golfstat.
Fournand and the Owls will return to play at the Conference USA Championship in Dade City, Florida. The event is scheduled for April 19-21. Â Â Â
