CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team (7-5) opened a two-match road swing in Charlotte with a 4-3 loss to James Madison (9-3) on Saturday afternoon.
Despite a win on doubles court one, the Owls surrendered the first point of the match.
Natalie Kallmunzerova then tied the match on court three with a straight-set win, 6-0, 6-2. The lead would be short lived, with JMU taking court four. The Owls would match the score at two and go up with a three-set win by
Martina Kudelova, on court one, and with a hard-fought win on court two by
Natalia Boltinskaya. Boltinskaya won her best of three match, capturing sets one and three in tiebreak fashion. The Owls would take the final two courts to three sets but were unable to come away with the win.
