BOCA RATON, Fla. – Less than a month removed from its best finish of the season, the Florida Atlantic University men's golf team hopes to continue that momentum in the Conference USA Championship.
The C-USA Championship will run April 26-29 at the Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Arkansas. Teams will play 18 holes each day before crowing an individual and team champion on April 29. Live stats are available here.
"We are very excited to compete in our Conference USA tournament next week in Texarkana," FAU coach Ryan Jamison said. "We have made some great strides as a team this year and I'm looking forward to watching it all come together. I know I feel at peace with what happens this year for our guys. They have worked extremely hard and bought into our culture of hard work and sound team values. Time to live in the moment and have some fun. This is a great opportunity!"
The Owls finished second in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic (April 5-6), a Houston-hosted tournament, with both Sully Zagerman and Enrique Dimayuga ranking within the top-five. Zagerman tied for second with a 208 while Dimayuga tied for fourth with a 209.
That performance led FAU to its highest national ranks ever: No. 77 by Golfstat and No. 74 by Golfweek. FAU is Golfweek's fourth-highest ranked C-USA squad, behind only No. 33 UAB, No. 41 Charlotte and No. 49 UTSA.
