BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (9-9, 7-7 in Conference USA) will play its final regular-season C-USA series at Charlotte (9-8, 8-4 C-USA) this weekend. FAU will look to lengthen its winning streak to three games and win its seventh contest in the last eight games, as this series also plays a big role in FAU's seeding in the C-USA Tournament next weekend.

- The Owls are winners of six of the last seven games and look to extend its winning streak to three, as the team completes the regular season on the road at Charlotte for two games
- FAU began C-USA play with a 1-6 record and has turned the table in the last seven contests with a 6-1 mark
- Head coach Jim Jabir is in his fourth season at the helm with his 2020-21 team being made up of one redshirt freshman, six sophomores, six juniors, one senior and one graduate student
- Iggy Allen leads the team with 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. Alexa Zaph has a team's most 2.8 assists per game. Janeta Rozentale averages 8.8 rebounds per game, while leading the Owls with 1.4 blocks per game

- The two teams have been playing one another each season since 2014, both schools' first year in C-USA
- The series' first meeting took place in 1988 at the Georgia State Tournament, resulting in an 81-56 loss for FAU
- Coach Jabir earned his first win over the 49ers last season, second all-time for the program, as FAU dominated Charlotte at home, 65-44. Juliette Gauthier tallied 18 points and nine rebounds, while Astou Gaye produced eight points and seven boards. At the time, the 49ers' 44 points was the least amount of points the Owls had ever given up in a C-USA game
- FAU is 2-1 at home, 0-4 on the road and 0-1 at a neutral site against Charlotte

- Mariah Linney was tabbed to the nine-person Preseason All-Conference Team. She averaged 9.5 points per game and tallied 86 assists last year, and currently puts up 12.7 points per game this season
- Octavia Jett-Wilson has had an incredible senior season, leading the way in scoring (20.1 PPG). She was named ESPN National Player of the Week once this year. Jada McMillian follows with 17.1 points per game and a team-leading 71 assists and 20 steals
- Jazmin Harris has a team's best 18 blocks off the bench, while freshman Molina Williams pulls down the team's most rebounds (6.8 RPG)
- Charlotte leads C-USA in 3-point FG% defense (.261)

- FAU earned the series sweep over Southern Miss in the Owls' final home series of the season
- The Owls won the first game, 78-63, behind a 52.7 shooting percentage and season-high 52.6 percentage from 3-point range (10-for-19)
- Allen went off for 33 points and a career-high 18 boards. Sofia Galeron followed with a career-high 17 points, while Gaye put up 11 points
- In the second game, FAU took a decisive 86-61 win. The Owls shot over 50 percent from the field (55.8%) for the second consecutive game
- Amber Gaston tallied a career-high 22 points and five rebounds off the bench. Allen followed with 17 points and seven rebounds in only 19 minutes played. Bre Beck (career-high 14 points and five rebounds), Galeron (12 points and nine rebounds) and Zaph (12 points and five assists) also produced great games
- FAU shot over 50 percent in both games, and outrebounded the Lady Eagles by an average margin of +12.0
