DALLAS  – Jessica Lambert and
Anaiis Scheeres from the Florida Atlantic University track & field team have each earned a spot on the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Team. The team earned its best finish at a C-USA Championship with 40 points this past weekend. Lambert was tabbed to the First Team, while Scheeres is a Second Team choice.

Â
Lambert had a memorable showing at the C-USA Championships, earning the gold medal in the 800 meters with a personal record time of 2:11.98. The time marks the fourth fastest in school history. Lambert is the first Owl to win a gold medal at the championships since
Natalliah Whyte swept the 60 and 200 meters in 2019. The Croydon, England product also contributed to a fourth-place showing in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:52.00.
Â
Scheeres competed in the high jump for the first time since May 2019 and got the job done. The native of Boca Raton earned the silver medal in the event after capturing a mark of 1.69m. She broke the school record in the process, which was previously held by Frida Thorsas and Courtney Barge (1.65m). Scheeres also contributed to a seventh-place finish in the distance medley relay on the first night of the championships (12:18.39).
Â
The Owls will now prepare for outdoor season, which is set to begin at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami from March 19-20.
