Basketball Hits Road for First of Two

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (2-4) will hit the road for the team's first out-of-state trip of the season. FAU will face Kennesaw State at the KSU Convocation Center, in Kennesaw, Georgia, tomorrow at 7 p.m.

The Owls will stay on the road to face Boise State on Sunday with a 4 p.m. Eastern start. FAU will return home to face Florida Memorial on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. Tickets for the game can be purchased here or by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS.

About the Owls
- FAU women's basketball is under a new direction with first-year head coach Jennifer Sullivan, who is a 16-year coaching veteran and the sixth head coach in program history
- The Owls are looking to bounce back from a four-game losing skid. FAU had a chance to win or tie the game in regulation in each of their last three losses, but have come up short

- FAU dropped two close games in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament, in both contests the Owls had an opportunity to tie or lead in the last possession of the game
- In the 70-68 loss to Tulsa, four Owls scored in double digits. Rozentale led the clan with 16 points and 10 rebounds
- The Owls dropped a heartbreaker to Davidson, 61-58, as Rozentale led the way once again with 13 points
- Kuykendoll logged nine assists across the two games
- The Owls shot 80% and 85% from the free throw line in the Tulsa and Davidson games, respectively
Scouting Kennesaw State
- KSU is also under the direction a first-year head coach in Octavia Blue
- The Owls were projected to finish seventh in the Atlantic Sun Conference, as voted on by the league's head coaches. In the media poll, KSU was chosen to finish 10th
- Amani Johnson and Alexis Poole were tabbed to the 10-person ASUN Preseason Team
- Poole leads the way with 11.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game along with 15 steals
- Johnson averages 10.0 PPG, while leading the team with 33 assists (4.7 APG)
Series History
- FAU and Kennesaw State have played each other three times, as FAU leads in the series, 2-1
- The last time these two teams played was in 2010, which resulted in a tight 65-64 loss for FAU in Boca Raton
- FAU is 1-1 at home and 1-0 on the road in the series, as they look to keep their road record perfect vs. KSU
