BOCA RATON, Fla. –The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming & diving teams were defeated by Florida on Saturday. The men's team fell by a 202-92 tally while the women's squad was topped by a 205-89 score.

The Owls will return to the pool for the TYR Fall Classic hosted by FIU on Oct. 8 and 9.

- Rateb Hussein captured first place in the 100 fly as he touched the wall at 48.92. That time is just 1.61 seconds off of his own FAU program record, which he set in 2019
- Alec Peckmann put forward a second-place finish in the 200 IM, touching the wall with a time of 1:51.43. He additionally placed fifth in the 200 free, stopping the clock at 1:42.01.
- Nick Shaffer was right behind Peckmann in the 200 IM in third place (1:54.85)
- The men's 200 medley relay squad of Maximiliano Ahumada, Quinn LaCoursiere, Hussein, and Peter Tanner, Jr. placed third with a time of 1:32.88

- Riley Trout touched the wall at 59.15 for a fourth-place finish in the 100 back
- Nika Culina finished in fourth in the 100 breast (1:07.14)
- Casey swam to a second-place finish in the 500 free (5:08.31) and a fourth-place finish in the 200 free (1:55.01)
- Dolores Margni claimed fourth in the 200 fly (2:04.07)
- In the diving well, Alicia Mora finished in second place in the three meter with a score of 294.60. She also took third in the one meter (286.27)
- The men placed two through five in the 100 free, as Peckmann took second (45.75), Jackson Kirk placed second (47.24), Tanner took fourth (47.46) and Brett Sasser was fifth (49.18)
- Mary Adam placed second in the 200 breast (2:27.28) while Lisa Cottage-Ramnick took third (2:28.93)
