BOCA RATON, Fla. – On a day that we celebrate leap year, the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team (4-1) took a giant leap toward remaining undefeated at home and proving the team's merits toward their goal of being nationally ranked with a 7-0 victory over Oakland University (4-4).

The Owls swept the doubles competition with wins on courts one through three to earn the match's first point. Courts 2, 4 and 5 were decided within minutes of each other to secure the match for the Owls at 4-0. The remaining three courts played to a conclusion with the Owls being victorious on each court.

Freshman Radka Buzkova was the first to record a singles' point with a straight-set shutout 6-0 6-0
May Kimhi and Louie McLelland came off minutes apart with points three and four to secure the match
Freshman Karin Kozlejova battled back in the second set and won the tiebreaker 7-4 to win her first dual season match 6-3, 7-6 (7-4)
