Men’s Swimming & Diving Finishes Third at CCSA Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team rounded out in third at the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming & Diving Championships. FAU racked up 651.5 points to stand just 23.5 points behind second-place Gardner-Webb. Logan Downey earned Most Outstanding Male Diver of the Meet.

Quick Hits

Will Smith tallied the bronze medal in the 1650 free with a time of 15:33.73. Clay Riemenschneider (15:49.54) and Jack Shapiro (15:53.66) followed just off the podium stand in fourth and fifth, respectively. Josh Fountain finished in 13th (16:43.43)
Kyle Douglas captured third in the 200 back (1:46.47), while Reilly Maguire followed in sixth (1:49.67). Alex Taber finished in ninth (1:50.14), Calvin Lillo tallied 11th (1:50.65) and Juan Imposimato wrapped up in 14th (1:52.98)
Connor Smoak finished in 11th in the 100 free (45.78). Andrew Garcia followed in 11th (45.78) and Jack Neeley took 14th (45.94)
Adan Diaz picked up the bronze medal in the 200 breast with a time of 1:59.62. Swimming in the B-final, Carter Januzelli finished 12th (2:04.25), while Quinn LaCoursiere took 13th (2:04.97)
Rateb Hussein tallied another podium finish, this time in the 200 fly with the silver medal (1:47.49). Skyler Hamilton competed in the B-Final to capture 15th (1:54.13)
The 400 free relay team tallied the bronze medal to wrap up the weekend. Hussein, Neeley, Garcia and Smoak finished in 2:59.95
