KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team wrapped up day three of the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming & Diving Championships to sit in third with 465.5 points.
- Rateb Hussein opened up finals on a high note with a silver medal in the 100 fly. His time of 47.58 tied for second
- Jack Shapiro came up with a huge lifetime best in the 400 IM of 3:57.45 to finish just shy of the podium stand in fourth. Will Smith rounded out the A-final in seventh (4:05.77) and Calvin Lillo finished 12th (4:04.93) after swimming in the B-final
- In the 200 free finals, Josh Fountain tallied a lifetime best with a time of 1:38.91 to tally fifth. Connor Smoak followed in sixth with a lifetime best (1:39.11), while Clay Riemenschneider took eighth (1:39.43)
- Adan Diaz (55.83) and Quinn LaCoursiere (55.90) finished seventh and eighth, respectively in the 100 breast. Carter Januzelli tallied 14th (56.98) and Jack Neeley followed in 15th (57.06)
- Douglas picked up fifth in the 100 back (49.32) A-final. Swimming in the B-finals, Reilly Maguire logged 11th (50.25), Alex Taber took 13th (50.77) and Juan Imposimato finished 15th (51.18)
- The 400 medley relay team stepped up big in the final event of the night by breaking the school record by over three seconds. Douglas, LaCoursiere, Hussein and Smoak were behind the 3:14.36 finish
