KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team stays strong in second place with 293 points at the 2020 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming & Diving Championships. FAU captured four different podium finishes along with 11 personal best times and scores on the second night.
- The distance crew showed dominance in the 500 free, as four Owls placed in the top six. Josh Fountain led the way for the Owls with a silver finish (4:27.78) and was followed by Clay Riemenschneider, who picked up the bronze medal with a lifetime best time of 4:27.92
- Also in the 500 free, Will Smith tallied fifth with a lifetime best time of 4:30.61, while Jack Shapiro logged sixth (4:33.48)
- In the 200 IM, Kyle Douglas captured seventh place with a time of 1:50.76. Adan Diaz (1:53.29) and Calvin Lillo (1:54.88) placed 15th and 16th, respectively
- Rateb Hussein re-broke the FAU freshman record in the 50 free finals with a fourth place finish to just miss the podium stand with a personal feat time of 20.28. Connor Smoak captured sixth (20.51), while Jack Neeley rounded out in 15th (21.04)
- Logan Downey tallied a silver medal in the 3-meter with a new personal best score of 372.65. Michael Cannatelli came in fourth (308.75), while Charlie Greene finished fifth with a lifetime best score of 285.95
- The 200 free relay team brought home the bronze medal in 200 free relay with a time of 1:21.38 by the effort from Hussein, Neeley, Andrew Garcia and Smoak
