History Against the Panthers
The FAU vs. FIU rivalry dates back to 1985, as the Panthers hold a 14-32 edge over the Owls
FAU lost 21 of the first 22 games in the series starting in the 80s, but has made a push as of late, winning seven of the last 11
On Feb. 8, the Owls beat FIU 64-61 in overtime to help Jim Jabir achieve his 500th career victory. The program also earned its 300th Division I win. Primm captured 21 points and a career-high 14 rebounds, while Glenisha Harkless tallied 12 points. Gaye had 10 points, eight boards and four blocks and Vehka-Aho logged 10 points
Last year FAU played FIU at home, the Owls won, 77-55. Gauthier tallied her first career double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Amber Gaston was shy of a double-double with 16 points and nine boards
