BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will wrap up its predetermined conference schedule with this week's games at Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech.
The Owls (14-11, 6-6 Conference USA) are currently tied with Marshall and Old Dominion for sixth place in the conference, which would place them in the second pod. FAU can still move up to the top pod.

Last Week: FAU lost both games to FIU last week, falling 69-50 at FIU on Wednesday night, then lost 66-59 at home on Saturday.
About USM: The Golden Eagles are led by sophomore Gabe Watson, who averages 13.3 points per game. Sophomore forward Tyler Stevenson is second on the team at 12.4 points. Reigning C-USA Co-Sixth Man of the Year LaDavius Draine chips in 12.2 points. Leonard Harper-Baker averages 8.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
About Louisiana Tech: Senior guard DaQuan Bracey leads the Bulldogs at 12.6 points per game. Junior guard Kalob Ledoux is second on the squad with an 11.6 average. Amorie Archibald's 11.1 a game average gives the Bulldogs three players in double figures.
History: USM has a 4-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Golden Eagles won last season's meeting 74-72 in Boca Raton.
Michael Forrest scored 11 points in the contest.
Louisiana Tech leads the all-time series with FAU 6-2. The Bulldogs took two of last year's three meetings, beating the Owls 72-69 during Bonus Play then taking a narrow 57-56 victory in the first round of the conference tournament.
