Baseball Holds Annual Scout Day

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University baseball team held its 2020 Scout Day on Wednesday, with the current Owls showing off their skills in front of nearly 25 MLB scouts.

The team did the usual run-through of infield/outfield, the 60-yard dash and batting practice, before holding an intrasquad scrimmage of sorts. More than a dozen Owl pitchers faced four teammates each in a live simulated game.

"Scout Day is always a great day for our guys," said head coach John McCormack. "It gives the draft eligible players a chance to show what they can do. I appreciate the protocols put in place by the university and athletic department to make this day possible, it is very much appreciated. I thought the guys did a great job today, I am very happy for them."
