BOCA RATON, Fla. - (Sept. 5, 2019) – The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will make its first road trip of the season, traveling to Fort Worth, Texas for the Fight for the Fort Tournament, hosted by TCU this weekend. The Owls will play (RV) Colorado State and No. 22 Florida State at 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, respectively. The host (RV) Horned Frogs will be FAU's only opponent on Saturday, at 4 p.m.

Last Week: The Owls went 2-0 at the FAU Invitational last weekend, sweeping Grambling State and defeating Stetson 3-1. Saturday's scheduled match against Niagara was cancelled. Sydney Nemtuda was named Tournament MVP and setters Stephanie Young and Nikki Lakman made the All-Tournament team.

History: FAU lost its only previous meeting against Colorado State, 3-0, on Sept. 2, 2006. The Owls are winless in nine all-time matchups with Florida State. It has been over 16 years since the schools last met. The most recent encounter took place on August 29, 2003. FAU's matchup with TCU will be the first between the two teams.
