Volleyball Returns Home to Host Owls Classic

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball hosts its second home tournament of the season, welcoming Bethune-Cookman, Boston College and Southern Utah to Abessinio Court at FAU Arena for the 2019 Owls Classic. The Owls play SUU and BC on Friday at noon and 7 p.m., respectively, and BCU at noon on Saturday.

Last Week: The Owls lost two of their three matches at TCU's Fight for the Fort Tournament last weekend, extending then-No. 22 Florida State to five sets on Friday, but outlasting the host Horned Frogs in five sets on Saturday.

History: FAU's matchup with Southern Utah will be the first between the two teams. The Owls won their only previous meeting against Boston College in five sets on Sept. 17, 2005. FAU has never lost in 42 all-time matches with Bethune-Cookman including a pair of sweeps over the Wildcats in Boca Raton last season.Â
