Softball Announces 2019 Fall Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University softball team has released its 2019 fall schedule, as announced on Tuesday. Each of the seven games will be played at FAU Softball Stadium for free admission throughout October. All of FAU's opponents are community colleges and universities located in Florida.

FAU will open up play against Hillsborough Community College on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. Following their game against the Hawks, the Owls will square off against crosstown Lynn at 4:15 p.m.

The Owls will be back at FAU Softball Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 16 to face St. Thomas in a 10-inning matchup. FAU will then cap off the weekend with a doubleheader versus Indian River State College on Saturday, Oct. 19 beginning at noon.

Fall ball will wrap up with three 10-inning games in three days. The Owls will kick off against Miami Dade College on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. FAU will then face Palm Beach State College on Thursday, Oct. 24 and Eastern Florida State on Friday, Oct. 25, both at 6 p.m.

Softball will be celebrating its 26th season of the program under direction of head coach Joan Joyce. FAU will be returning 11 players from the 2019 season and welcoming 12 newcomers.
