FAU Senior Associate AD Poole Named To CoSIDA Officer Rotation

Jessica Poole will become the first African-American woman to serve as CoSIDA President in 2022-23.
BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University senior associate athletic director for external relations, Jessica Poole has selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) officer rotation it was announced at the 2019 CoSIDA Convention in Orlando, Florida.
Poole completed a three-year appointment on the CoSIDA Board of Directors in 2019 and was elected into the presidential rotation, serving as third vice president for the 2019-20 academic year and will become the first African-American woman to lead the organization during the 2022-23 academic year and just the sixth woman to ever lead the organization.
"This is a tremendous honor for Jessica and FAU Athletics," said vice president and director of athletics Brian White. "Jessica is an integral part of our senior leadership team and has been an asset to our department for our entire external relations area. I have no doubt she will continue to be an excellent leader for CoSIDA in this role."
No stranger to CoSIDA, Poole has served as a committee member to various CoSIDA committees and currently chairs the Diversity and Inclusion committee and is a member of the Special Award committee in addition to her duties on the CoSIDA Board of Directors.
"I am humbled to be selected to serve our membership in this capacity," said Poole. "Our membership is filled with talented, passionate and dedicated members and I am excited to help move the organization forward by being an advocate for our membership and our profession in my role as an officer."
At FAU Poole oversees FAU's athletic communications, marketing and corporate sponsorship areas and serves as a member of the senior leadership team. In addition, Poole has sport administrator responsibilities for women's basketball, softball and the spirit squads.
A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Poole has spent time in media relations offices at UNC Greensboro, Michigan, Dartmouth, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt before moving into her current role at FAU.
