Carly Scarbrough Named to CCSA All-Academic Team for Second Straight Year

BOCA RATON, Fla. -Â Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball player Carly Scarbrough has been named to the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) All-Academic Team for the second year in a row, the league announced on Wednesday.

Scarbrough currently holds a 3.9 GPA while majoring in biological sciences. Earlier this year, she earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and received FAU's Female Outstanding Academic Achievement Award at the Owlspys. Scarbrough, originally from Sarasota, Florida, has spent most of the last two years playing at the top of the Owls' lineup and has won seven matches so far this year.

The Sandy Owls are the No. 6 seed for the CCSA Tournament and will begin pool play against 10th-seeded UAB at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
