Women's Golf Heads to C-USA Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team will head into the postseason with the Conference USA Championship Monday through Wednesday in Fort Myers, Florida.

THE FIELD
The field includes all C-USA women's golf teams. Those teams are Marshall, North Texas, Middle Tennessee, UTSA, Charlotte, Old Dominion, UAB, Southern Miss, WKU, FIU and UTEP.

The Owls will be paired with UAB and Southern Miss during the first round on Monday.

THE STARTING FIVE

LAST TIME OUT
FAU has enjoyed a two-week break to prepare for the conference tournament. In their last outing, the Owls finished third at The Strutter played at Georgia Southern. FAU was led by Keating who carded a 70 for the second round and finished 12-over for the tournament.

GOLF FORE AFRICA
All this season the Owls will be teaming up with Golf Fore Africa to raise money for clean water in rural Africa. The team's goal is to raise enough money to build a well for a village in Zambia, providing clean water for an entire community.

One well costs $15,000 to build and brings clean water to 300 people for life. Just a $50 donation brings clean water to one person for a lifetime. To date, Golf Fore Africa has built 160 wells and FAU is looking to be the first collegiate program to raise complete funding for a well.
