BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's golf team will close out the regular season at The Strutter hosted by Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Georgia. The tournament will be played March 31-April 1, with 36 holes on Sunday and 18 on Monday.

COACH NEFF'S TAKE
"We are excited to be playing in Georgia Southern's inaugural event, The Strutter. The course is beautiful and a good test of golf. This is our youngest lineup of the season with three freshmen and two juniors and that fires me up. We'll compete the best we can from start to finish and I think this will be a good measuring stick to see where we are before heading into conference in a few weeks. Go Owls!" Â
Â
THE FIELD
FAU will be taking the course alongside Boson College, High Point, Stetson, St. John's, FDU and host team Georgia Southern.
Â
THE STARTING FIVEÂ
- Amanda Leslie
- Taylor Morgan
- Arielle Keating
- Madison Heideman
- Rosa Barnak
LAST TIME OUT
In their last outing, the Owls took on a stacked field in the Tar Heel Classic played in the Dominican Republic. FAU finished the tournament on a strong note with their best shooting round on the final day.
Amanda Leslie led the Owls, shooting 10-over for the tournament.

GOLF FORE AFRICA
All this season the Owls will be teaming up with Golf Fore Africa to raise money for clean water in rural Africa. The team's goal is to raise enough money to build a well for a village in Zambia, providing clean water for an entire community.
Â
One well costs $15,000 to build and brings clean water to 300 people for life. Just a $50 donation brings clean water to one person for a lifetime. To date, Golf Fore Africa has built 160 wells and FAU is looking to be the first collegiate program to raise complete funding for a well.
