The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team (1-3) traveled to Fort Myers, Florida where the Owls faced Florida Gulf Coast University, their fourth-consecutive dual match Florida opponent in as many matches. FGCU bested the Owls 5-2.

Natalie Kallmunzerova picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles and redshirt sophomore Ja'Cara Gillis won at No. 6 6-2, 6-2.

"Fitness is improving, but is still playing a vital role in a few match outcomes, said Marcy Cava, FAU's head women's tennis coach, who welcomed five new players at mid-year. "We have a new team this semester, so we are still learning the importance of relying on each other."
