Women's Basketball Faces Southern Miss Saturday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (4-17, 1-7 C-USA) will continue on the road to face Southern Miss (12-10, 4-5 C-USA) on Saturday at 5 p.m. (EST).

FAU will be looking to bounce back after a road loss against Louisiana Tech on Thursday night
Through 21 games, Juliette Gauthier is leading the Owls in scoring with 10.0 points per game. Myka Johnson Matthews is close behind, averaging 9.2 points. Abby Voss leads on the rebounding front, pulling down 6.1 boards per game. Glenisha Harkless has 41 assists on the season to lead the team

The Owls took on LA Tech on Thursday night in Ruston
FAU was defeated, 86-55, behind a strong offensive game from the Lady Techsters
Johnson Matthews led the Owls in scoring with 14 points in the contest. Ra'Kyra Gabriel had nine rebounds and three blocks in the game

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday will be the sixth meeting all-time between FAU and Southern Miss. The series dates back to 2014 when the Owls joined Conference USA
The Lady Eagles own a 4-1 record in the series. FAU picked up its first win against Southern Miss last season in Boca Raton, 89-74
