Women’s Basketball Picked to Finish 10th in C-USA

BOCA RATON, Fla. - (Oct. 16, 2019) – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team was picked to finish 10th in Conference USA, according to the annual poll of the league's head coaches.
The Owls finished the 2018-19 campaign with a 5-25 record, but return six players from last year's squad and will welcome a highly regarded recruiting class.
Rice received 11 first-place votes, while Middle Tennessee came in second place and picked up three first-place votes. WKU finished third, followed by UAB, Old Dominion, Charlotte and North Texas rounding out the top half of the poll.
Louisiana Tech was picked to finish ninth, followed by FAU. Marshall, UTEP, UTSA and FIU took the final four spots. The Owls host Nova Southeastern for an exhibition on Saturday, Nov. 2, before officially kicking off the 2019-20 season at Iowa on Thursday, Nov. 8.
