Kudelova Falls to Top-10 Ranked Player at ITA All-American

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Day two at the 2019 Saint Francis Health System All-American Championship was a tough day for Florida Atlantic University's Martina Kudelova, who faced one of the nation's top-20 players.
Kudelova, ranked No. 51 nationally, fell to Duke's Meible Chi, ranked No. 18 nationally, 7-5, 6-4 in Thursday's second round. The five-day tournament invited the nation's top-64 players among approximately 3,000 NCAA Division I women's tennis players.
The sophomore led the Owls in 2019 on court No. 1 and was named first team Conference USA and the C-USA Freshman of the Year. She will be called into action next weekend, Oct. 18-22, when the Owls travel to Tallahassee, Florida for the SE Regional Championship, hosted by FSU.

"All the elements were in Martina's favor, but unfortunately she didn't show up mentally to have a battle.
