Baseball's McCormack Selected for PBC Sports Hall of Fame

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University Head Baseball Coach John McCormack will soon be inducted into the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2019.

McCormack is on the cusp of his 11th season atop the Owls' baseball program, and 29th season overall as part of the FAU coaching staff. The Class of 2019 will be honored during the 43rd annual Palm Beach County Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Annual Sports Awards on Monday, March 25, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.

"It is an honor and pleasure to be inducted into the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame," said McCormack. "When you look at past inductees, I am overwhelmed to join them. This is not just a singular award for me; a lot of people have been a part of this."

The Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame Committee, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, recognizes athletes, coaches, media, administrators and contributors who have achieved excellence in sports in Palm Beach County. In addition to McCormack, the other members of the incoming class are: Annette Deluca, William Harvey, Mike Kissner, Don Smith, Budd Watson and Dr. Gary Wiren.
