Men's Soccer Hosts ASA Miami on Tuesday Night

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's soccer team will take on ASA Miami on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the FAU Soccer Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
The Owls (2-3-0, 1-0-0 C-USA) were scheduled to travel to Charlotte last weekend, but that match was postponed due to Hurricane Florence. A new date for the match has not been announced yet.
CATCHING UP WITH THE OWLS
FAU is in a two-way tie for third place in the C-USA standings with a perfect 1-0-0 record so far in league play. Old Dominion and FIU each have a 2-0-0 record for first place and Kentucky is also 1-0-0.
Redshirt-junior goalkeeper Hagay Jalon has started all five games in-goal for the Owls this season. His 28 total saves on the season is the ninth most in the country as of September 14 and his 5.60 saves per game average is 11th nationally. Both of those marks lead C-USA. The Haifa, Israel native has registered two clean sheets this season which is tied for the fourth most in the league and is 36th nationally. He has the fourth best save percentage in the conference (0.718) and he recorded the second most saves in a single-game by a C-USA keeper this season with eight stops against South Carolina.
The Owls have had three goal-scorers this season in Gonzalo Pena Barrasus, Alex Alexis and Jean Paul Rafols. Pena and Alexis each scored golden goals for the Owls putting them in a tie for the fourth most game-winning goals in the league this season. Alonso Coello Camarero has picked up two assists through five games, giving him the fifth most in C-USA and his 0.40 assists per game average is the seventh highest.

ASA Miami (1-2-0) picked up its first win of the season on September 9 with a 6-3 victory against Andrew College.
Alphanso Gooden has scored three goals for the team this season and Johan Godoy and Lavaughn McKay have each added one. Jesus Tovar has played in two games in-goal for the Silver Storm this season. He has a 3.50 goals against average and a .500 save percentage.
