#18 Beach Volleyball Downs Tulane at the Seminole Beach Battle

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The no. 18 Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team split its two matches at the Seminole Beach Battle on Friday, losing to no. 7 Florida State 5-0, before rebounding to sweep Tulane. The Sandy Owls are now 16-12 on the season.
Match 1 vs. #7 Florida State
The Seminoles won all five scoring courts in straight sets. On the exhibition court, Ashlan Cunningham and Nicole Grant split their two set match.

Match 2 vs. UNC-Wilmington
Nicole Navarro and Kaila Dorish took a 21-12, 21-11 victory on court four to take a 1-0 lead. Brittany Pellitteri and Julia Lewkowicz won by matching 21-17 scores on court five. The Sandy Owls clinched the match with a 21-14, 21-18 triumph by Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris at no. 3. Gabrielle Dischler and Jessalyn Kinlaw gave FAU a 4-0 lead at no. 2 with a 21-10, 21-15 win. Amanda Silva and Carly Scarbrough overcame a first set loss at no. 1 to complete the sweep 15-13 in the third set. Ashlan Cunningham and Nicole Grant took both sets on the exhibition court.
