MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team lost a 4-3 battle to Charlotte on Friday in the opening of a Conference USA weekend at Middle Tennessee.
- Charlotte took the doubles points despite the FAU duo of Jason Legall and Ignacio Garcia winning in the No. 2 slot 6-2
- Arthur Stefani tied the match with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Sam Rice to open singles play
- Charlotte's Siem Fenne then beat Thomas Bugeaud 2-6, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6 singles
- Again the Owls came back as Ignacio Garcia's 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win agaisnt Oriol Puig Forne again knotted the match at 2-2
- The Owls got their first lead when Remi Chancerel topped C. Christoforou 6-2, 7-5
- Jason Legall then fell 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 to No. 106 Luca Keist
- Charlotte's Leonardo Menezes fought Gabriel Sidney to a 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 win to seal the match.
