DELAND, Fla. -- Freshman Jason Legall won a pair of singles matches as the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team beat Georgia Southern and Stetson 4-0 each on Friday.
- FAU lost the first doubles match against Georgia Southern, but stormed back as the duos of Remi Chancerel/Gabriel Sidney and Thomas Bugeaud/Legall won to clinch the point for the Owls
- Bugeaud made quick work of Santiago Suarez 6-1, 6-0 to open singles play
- Legall followed suit with a 6-3, 6-3 win against Eddie Landin in No. 2 singles
- Ignacio Jimenez sealed the match with a 6-3, 8-5 victory over Pascal Wagemaker
- Legall/Bugeaud and Ignacio Garcia/Arthur Stefani won their doubles matches 7-5, 7-6, respectively, to put the Owls on top of Stetson early in the second match of the day
- Gabriel Sidney topped Loic Blanco 6-3, 6-1 to double the advantage
- Legall then took down Angus Bradshaw 6-4, 6-2 to remain perfect on the day
- Fellow freshman Ignacio Garcia clinched the flawless day for FAU with his 6-3, 6-4 win over William Shkrob in the No. 5 slot.
