ABOUT THE GAME
- FAU are in the midst of a three-game road trip. The Owls took on Tulane in New Orleans on Wednesday and then traveled directly to New York for this matchup with Siena. FAU will take a 10-day break for finals before resuming play at Furman on Dec. 12
- The Owls will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses against Bradley and Tulane
- Myka Johnson Matthews leads the Owls in scoring at 10.7 points per game. Abby Voss is averaging 9.1 rebounds per game, and Jayla Adams leads the team in assists with 20
- The Owls had a tough road test on Wednesday night at Tulane with an 88-45 loss
- Voss led the Owls with 11 points and eight rebounds
- The story of the game could be found looking at the field goal percentages of the two teams. FAU shot 26.3 percent in the game, a season low, while Tulane shot 54.8 percent
- Saturday will be the first meeting between FAU and Siena in program history
- Siena is one of five first-time opponents the Owls will face this season. FAU already faced Bradley for the first time, and will later meet Western Michigan, Michigan State and North Carolina A&T in a series premiere
- The Saints have won two straight with victories against Colgate and Wagner
- Siena has two players averaging double digits in points. Maddie Sims is putting up 13.1 points per game, and Sabrina Piper is averaging 12.1 points per game
- Sims is also the team's leading rebounder, pulling down 7.7 boards per game
- Saturday will be a homecoming of sorts for head coach Jim Jabir
- Jabir was the head coach at Siena for three seasons (1987-90) and posted a 50-29 overall record
- While there, he coached the program's first ever Freshman All-American
