HOW IT WAS DECIDED
- Richmond scored the first points of the game at the 9:12 mark, going 1-of-2 from the free throw line after a FAU foul. The Owls quickly followed up with a 3-pointer from Johnson Matthews to take the lead and FAU would hold on to that lead the remainder of the game
- The Spiders cut into the deficit in the second quarter with a 7-0 run, but Juliette Gauthier knocked down a 3-pointer to stop the run. The Owls made two more threes to take a 31-20 lead into halftime
- The Owls continued to distance themselves in the third quarter, outscoring the Spiders 14-10, including a 9-0 run midway through the period
- FAU held Richmond to no 3-point baskets until the 4:07 mark. From there Richmond would make three to aid in outscoring the Owls, 25-24, in the final frame. It was the only quarter the Spiders outdid the OwlsÂ
