BOCA RATON, Fla. -Â The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will start the second half of its Conference USA schedule when it hosts Southern Miss on Friday night and Charlotte on Sunday. The Owls play five of their final seven regular season matches at home. Â Friday night's match is the annual "Dig Pink" match to raise Breast Cancer Awareness.

Last Week: FAU (15-5, 5-2 Conference USA) went 2-1 last week, sweeping Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday night and UTEP on Friday, but lost to UTSA in four sets on Sunday. Â

History: The Owls have won three of the five all-time meetings with Southern Miss, including a five-set victory last season in Hattiesburg.
Sydney Nemtuda had a double-double (17 kills, 11 digs) in the match. FAU extended its lead over Charlotte in their series to 11-1 with a five-set, come-from-behind victory earlier this season in Charlotte. The win was number 100 for Head Coach
