Florida Atlantic's women's tennis team competed in the 2018 Bedford Cup last weekend, with Kristen Thoms advancing to day three of the tournament.

The three-day event featured schools from the state of Florida, including host Miami, UCF, FGCU, FIU, Stetson, USF, Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman and the Owls.

"This weekend's results were a stride in the right direction," said Marcy Cava, FAU's head women's tennis coach. "There was improvement from our last tournament and it's obvious that the ladies are moving in the right direction."
