Owls Return to Lone Star State

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team makes its second trip to the state of Texas this weekend with matches at UTEP and UTSA on Friday, Oct. 12 and Sunday, Oct. 14, respectively.

Last Week: FAU (14-4, 4-1 Conference USA) defeated North Texas in four sets in Denton on Friday before returning home to down Louisiana Tech in four sets on Sunday. Ivone Martinez was named C-USA Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season. The Owls concluded their nonconference schedule with a sweep of Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday night.

History: FAU hold a 3-2 edge in the all-time series with UTEP. The Owls broke the tie with a sweep of the Miners last season in Boca Raton. UTSA has won all seven previous encounters with FAU. The Roadrunners defeated the Owls twice last season, including a four-set victory in the first round of the C-USA Tournament.
